GEM Program

Complete general education requirements with UMGC while you earn a CCAF associate degree.

Louisiana Christian University is proud to partner with the Community College of the Air Force and Space Force to fulfill the GEM Program.

  • The GEM program is designed to help Air Force and Space Force Members complete general education courses in pursuit of their CCAF Associate of Applied Science Degree.
  • All of LCUā€™s GEM courses are available online, year-round, and from anywhere in the world.
  • Federal Tuition Assistance is accepted at Louisiana Christian University to help with this goal.
Approved Courses

In the GEM program, you will choose one course from each of the five categories available to complete your CCAF associate degree. These LCU courses are 7 and 15 weeks in length. For full LCU course information, see our catalog.

NOTICE: Special rates for students in GEM

LCU is offering the special rate of $250 a credit hour FOR ONLY THE USAF AND SPACE FORCE students in GEM. Federal civil service employees and BAS students are $350 a credit hour. Full price for all others. For questions contact Brenna Moore or Brandie Bass.

Get Started in the GEM Program

Search and register for classes by following these steps.

  1. Go to theĀ Air Force and Space Force Virtual Education Center and view LCU GEM courses.
  2. Apply for admission to LCU.
  3. Register for courses through MyLCU.
  4. Pay for your classes via MyLCU.

Your application fee can be waivedĀ if you apply as a Community College of the Air ForceĀ and Space ForceĀ applicant. If you later choose to apply for another degree or certificate program at LCU, you will be required to pay the application fee.

When enrolling in a course, please be sure to complete your Tuition Assistance form within the Air Force and Space Force Virtual Education Center.
