Candidates For Graduation

Graduation is Saturday, May 10, 2025 in Guinn Auditorium

NOTICE: Commencement will be an open event, and no tickets will be required for entry, so everyone is encouraged to attend and support our graduates. Graduates, please note that there will be no rehearsal for the ceremony. It is essential that you come prepared on the day of the event, dressed in your cap and gown, ready to participate fully in this significant milestone.

All candidates are asked to arrive 45 minutes prior to your Commencement time and are required to be present in academic attire (cap & gown). The tassel is to be worn on the right side. Men are to remove their caps for prayer only. Men should wear white shirts & dark ties with dark pants and black shoes. Women should wear simple dresses with dress shoes, keeping in mind that you will be ascending and descending several stairs when receiving your diploma cover on the platform.

Diplomas for December and May graduates will be available for pick up at the Registrar’s Office immediately following the Commencement Ceremony. ALL HOLDS (including Business Office, Financial Aid, and Library) must be taken care of by Wednesday, May 7th to ensure that your diploma can be released on the day of the Commencement Ceremony. Diplomas not distributed on Saturday, May 10th will be available for pick up at the Registrar’s Office beginning Tuesday, May 13th. Requests for diplomas to be mailed must be emailed to registrar@lcuniversity.edu, including your name and the full address where you would like for your diploma to be mailed.

Candidates for Graduation

As per the Graduation Requirements listed in the current LCU Undergraduate Catalog, and as per the General Graduation Requirements listed in the most recent LCU Graduate Catalog, all students must complete an application for graduation from Louisiana Christian University prior to graduation. Please see the deadlines listed below. Undergraduate students may apply once they earn 80 credit hours toward their anticipated degree. Graduate students should apply no later than the first two weeks of class in the semester in which they intend to graduate. Students may obtain graduation applications from the Registrar’s Office or the Registrar's page of the LCU website. Students who change majors or anticipated date of graduation should NOTIFY the Office of the Registrar as soon as possible. There is no need to reapply for graduation. Cap & Gown Ordering

To order your cap and gown, please visit bookstore.lcuniversity.edu and click on Graduation Services. 

Ordering began Monday, January 6, 2025. The last day to order and choose free shipping to the Bookstore is Sunday, February 2, 2025   (ship to home can be selected at any time). Those who choose to have orders shipped to the bookstore will be able to pick them up at our Grad Fair on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. The last day to order is Sunday, March 30, 2025 -- shipping is $15.95 for orders sent to your home.

Notes:

You must confirm your graduation status with the Registrar’s Office before ordering. Cap & gown purchases must be made through the Bookstore’s website and are not included in any commencement fees.
