About Elizabeth Lindsay

Elizabeth Lindsay is a 1979 graduate of Louisiana Christian University where she was a member of the honor society, Phi Delta Kappa. Mrs. Lindsay has pursued advanced graduate classes through Northwestern State University, Louisiana Tech University, and the University of Missouri at Kansas City. After college graduation Mrs. Lindsay taught math and speech in Rapides Parish Schools for twenty-one years. Upon retirement from Tioga High School, Mrs. Lindsay continued her career in education by teaching math and speech at Grace Christian School for twelve years, retiring in 2012. In 2013, Mrs. Lindsay joined Louisiana Christian University as an adjunct instructor of Intermediate Algebra in the LCU Bridge Program. She became a full-time instructor in the LCU Bridge program in 2020. Mrs. Lindsay specializes in teaching math using cooperative learning and hands-on materials developed through her experience and research. She has been a member of the Louisiana Association of Teachers of Mathematics and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Mrs. Lindsay currently serves on the following LCU committees: Bridge Program Council, Academic Integrity and Admissions/Retention.

Mrs. Lindsay is a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. She leads a Sunday School Class, sings in the NPBC Praise Team and is active in WMU projects. She enjoys community activities with WoodmenLife Chapter 1180, as Vice President of the Rapides Waterworks No. 3 Board of Commissioners, and the Historic Rapides Cemetery Committee. She enjoys spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her favorite activities always include supporting her LCU students by attending their ballgames, theatre, and music events.
