Dr. Rick Brewer announced the formation of the Louisiana Christian University Board of Visitors (BOV) in October 2015, and its growth continues steady apace.
Comprised of alumni, business owners, as well as other professionals and friends of the college, the Board of Visitors is an important channel of involvement and networking among distinguished citizens and leaders who will advance the college's mission by assisting through planning, promotion and resource development.
Membership in the BOV is a four-year commitment with annual gifts at four entry points: Board of Visitor, $1,000; Leadership Council, $2,500; Executive Council, $5,000; and the Presidential Council; $10,000.
Participating on the BOV means members will help refer prospective students to the college, help students find internships and employment, engage in networking for the college, and help develop additional financial resources.
BOV members help close the affordability gap for a college education, and all financial support through the BOV will go directly and exclusively to a scholarship fund supporting qualified students. No BOV gift is used for administrative costs.
Joining the BOV is “about so much more than a financial donation,” said LCU President Dr. Rick Brewer. “It’s about participating with students who are answering God’s call upon their lives, and helping Louisiana Christian University launch them into the marketplace or ministry with impeccable academic training and a heart for the kingdom of God.”
