LCU to hold Christ, Church and Culture Event on Tuesday
Dr. Rick Morton, senior vice president of engagement at Lifeline Children’s Services, will be the speaker for the Christ, Church and Culture (C3) event on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 11 a.m. in Guinn Auditorium.
According to the Lifeline Children’s Services website, Morton shepherds the ministry’s outreach to individual, church and organizational ministry partners, as well as the ministry’s commitment to publishing resources that aid families and churches in disciplining orphans and vulnerable children.
He is the co-author of Orphanology: Awakening to Gospel-centered Adoption and Orphan Care and KnowOrphans: Mobilizing the Church for Global Orphanology.
Before his work with Lifeline, Morton served 15 years as a college and seminary professor as well as in local churches in Tennessee, Louisiana and Mississippi.
The purpose of C3 events is to lovingly challenge the troubling culture we live in with the biblical truth and love of Christ. Previous speakers have addressed critical race theory, human sexuality, abortion, and many other hot-button issues.
It is free and open to the public.
