Misty Couvillion, RN, BSN

Misty graduated from McNeese State University in 2006 with her BSN. She worked at Rapides Regional Medical Center for twelve years. Misty spent six years working as a nurse on the Oncology unit, and another six years on a cardiac step-down unit at Rapides Regional. While working at Rapides, she obtained her med-surge certification. She also taught as an LPN instructor at CLTCC in Cottonport, Louisiana where she developed a passion for nursing education. Misty is currently enrolled at ULL working on her master’s in education. She also recently became a Sigma Theta Tau member, as well. When not working, Misty is actively involved in her home church, Avoyelles House of Mercy, where she teaches Sunday School and sings on the praise team. She has been married to the love of her life, Kyle, for fifteen  years, and they have two wonderful children, Seth and Jonathan. Misty’s hobbies include walking and reading.
