Luanne Trahant, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

Luanne Trahant has been a Registered Nurse for 28 years. She received her BSN from Northwestern State University in 1992. She received her MSN in 2005 and completed a post-graduate program at Northwestern State University to become a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2010. Mrs. Trahant is a nationally board certified in family medicine as a nurse practitioner. She has practiced in multiple settings including hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, hospice, home health, orthopedics, pediatrics, medical surgical nursing and long-term care. Mrs. Trahant has practiced in Nursing Administration as a Director of Nursing as well as an administrator in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, she specializes in the care of the elderly providing care to elderly patients in long-term care facilities as well as providing free medical care to the indigent and under-insured populations. Mrs. Trahant also serves as a Nursing Expert and has owned her own Legal Consulting Firm for the last 19 years where she provides independent evaluations and expert testimony nationwide in malpractice cases on behalf of nurses, healthcare institutions and injured patients.
