About Jeff Young

Jeff Young is an assistant professor of convergence media, specializing in radio, television, and film production. He is a 1980 graduate of Louisiana Christian University and has a graduate degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served as a pastor of technical production in local churches for 20 years.

In 2007, because of his passion for media ministry and vast experience in media production, LCU called upon him to return to his alma mater to educate and mentor students in preparation for careers in radio, television, and film production, and media ministry.

Young also serves the dual role of director of technical production for the LCU campus. In both roles he develops and trains students to meet the rigorous demands of technical productions. Lights, sound, video, film, radio and projection graphics are part of the educational experience students receive while involved in many productions on campus.

He also served on the inaugural church media committee and has been a member of National Religious Broadcasters since 1997. He has served on the iNRB standing committee for the last five years and has served as the chairman of the iNRB Standing committee for three years. He is a lifetime member of the Metro Media Ministers Association of the Southern Baptist convention. Jeff has produced and directed live video productions both in the church and in the cooperate world.

Young loves to go hunting and scuba diving and be involved in mission trips.
