Dr. Rick Martinez has been at Dallas Baptist University since June of 2022. Dr. Martinez has served in numerous administrative posts in Christian Higher Education institutions. He has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, including Journal of Management, California Management Review, Journal of Business Research, Business Horizons, Journal of Biblical Integration in Business, Christian Scholars Review, Christian Business Review, Christian Business Academy Review, and others. Dr. Martinez has also served in numerous editorial roles. He is the recipient of the 2020 Sharon Johnson Award (for contributions in the integration of Business and the Christian faith) from the Christian Business Faculty Association.

Prior to his academic career, Dr. Martinez spent six years in the U.S. Navy operating nuclear power plants on surface ships.

Rick and his wife Peggy live in Fort Worth, TX. They are by God’s grace the blessed parents of 3 amazing young adult children – Mariah; Tyler (and wife, Kendra); and Sierra (and husband, Seth).

Dr. Martinez has a B.S. in Political Science from Arizona State University, an M.B.A. (in Management Information Systems) from Baylor University, and a Ph.D. in Strategic Management from Texas A&M University.
