A graduate of the University of Kansas (BS in Accounting) and the University of Cincinnati (MBA & PhD in marketing), Dr. Houghton is the Chair of the Paul Dickinson School of Business at Oklahoma Baptist University. Prior to his appointment at OBU, he was a marketing professor and the department chair at Charleston Southern University. His research focuses on a wide range of topics in consumer psychology, managerial decision making and business ethics. His research has appeared in several journals, including Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Psychology & Marketing, Marketing Letters, Journal of Consumer Psychology, and Advances in Consumer Research. Dr. Houghton sits on the editorial board for the Journal of Biblical Integration in Business and the Christian Business Academy Review. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoy serving in his local church, reading, and playing the bagpipes.
