About Dr. Jeannie Gauthier

Dr. Jeannie Gauthier first became part of the Louisiana Christian University family as a college freshman majoring in English Education.  After graduation, she began her teaching career at Holy Savior Menard Central High School in Alexandria, Louisiana.  After several years of teaching, she began working on her graduate studies at the University of Louisiana in Lafayette, with concentrations in Early American Literature, Restoration and Eighteenth Century British Literature, and Rhetoric and Composition.  Dr. Gauthier’s Christian faith has led her to research topics such as the theme of redemption in literature, as well as the influence of Christianity on the development of American culture.  These themes informed the writing of her master’s thesis and doctoral dissertation.
