About Dr. Julie Driessen
Julie L. Driessen teaches both English and French courses, including English Composition, I & II; Survey of American Literature; Elementary French; French for Conversation; Survey of French Literature, II; and French Poetry of the 19th & 20th Centuries.
As a graduate student at LSU-Baton Rouge and UNO-New Orleans, she took graduate-level courses in American and British literature: American Realism and Naturalism, Studies in 18th Century English Literature from Tears to Fears: Novels of Sensibility and the Gothic, American Expatriate Literature, Literary Theory and Criticism, Research Methodology & Bibliography, and Invention of Western Love.
Dr. Driessen has professional memberships in the American Association of Teachers of French, (ACTF), Louisiana Association for College Composition (LACC), and the Louisiana Council of Teachers of English (LCTE).
