Studying Business at LCU
The Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs accredits Louisiana Christian University’s Young School of Business. It is one of the smallest programs to obtain national accreditation.
The Young School of Business offers small classes—especially in the upper levels—and thus can utilize the case study method in most of the upper-level courses.
Mission
Consistent with the university's purpose, the Young School of Business has a mission of combining a full-time teaching faculty with an academic program that challenges the student in a community of learning. The School concentrates its resources on an undergraduate program that emphasizes teaching and a close, caring relationship with students. Learning and free inquiry from a Christian perspective provides an environment where students are encouraged to become sensitive and productive members of society, able to respond to the demands of a rapidly changing world.
The central curriculum, required of all college students, provides a broad knowledge and understanding of the humanities, the natural sciences, and the social sciences. This central curriculum requirement, combined with the business core curriculum, required of all business students, gives students a solid foundation in the liberal arts and the business disciplines.
