Actress alum to speak at 8th annual Values & Ethics Series

Actress and Louisiana Christian University alumna Kayce Clark will deliver a compelling program on the influence of the media in everyday life at the  8th Annual Values & Ethics Series on Nov. 2.

Clark is the advocacy director for Reflective Media Productions. She graduated from LCU with a degree in theatre arts in 2004.

“Our media-driven world is so easily influenced by what we see on screen, what we hear on the radio, and by the examples set by celebrities,” Clark said. “That influence is not going away and is growing by the day, but there is something we can do as a Christian community.”

With an unwavering commitment to creating powerful theatre and film projects that not only entertain but also point to the truth of Jesus Christ, Clark has worked successfully in the entertainment industry for more than 20 years.  She is a captivating and insightful speaker, who challenges audiences to use their talents and gifts to the glory of God and to guard against the negative impact that certain media has on our world and our lives.

“Instead of shying away from media and entertainment venues, we are taking the tool Satan is using to try to destroy us and we are turning it on its head, and using it for the Kingdom,” Clark said. “Christian production companies, such as Reflective Media Productions, and shows like ‘The Chosen’ or ‘Breaking Strongholds’ are blazing the trail for a new group of ‘media missionaries,’—actors, producers, writers and filmmakers –all working together to fight against the enemy. The new mission field isn’t just across the globe, it’s across our living room rug.”

Most recently, Clark appeared on screen as Mary in “Mary’s Heart, God’s Cry,” which has won multiple Christian film awards. She can be seen as Catherine in Season 2 of the Pureflix hit show “Breaking Strongholds.”

LCU President Dr. Rick Brewer said Clark is part of an emerging group of evangelical Christians in the entertainment industry, who are vocal and active in ensuring their faith is front and center in their acting pursuits. She is committed to using her talents to showcase her faith—not compromise it.

“We are so proud of Kayce, as a graduate of our school,” said LCU President Dr. Rick Brewer. “We enjoy watching her use her witness for Christ in her works in film and television. She continues to glorify God through her passion for acting.”
