Psychology Club presents local church with donation

Louisiana Christian University Psychology Club students presented Neighborhood Baptist Church in Alexandria with a check for $700 on April 21 to go toward the church’s outreach in the community.

The club held a Color Run in March and half the proceeds were donated to NBC.

“The Psychology Club has formed a partnership at this time with Neighborhood Baptist Church to go in once a month and help church members and community members to grow in their walk with Christ through learning mental health skills that can help them throughout their lives,” said Mollie Wise, assistant professor of psychology and club adviser. “So far, we have talked about self-worth, how God views our worth as individuals, and steps we can take to walk in God’s view of us and not the world.”
