Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home and Family Ministries Announces Dr. David Jeffreys as New President and CEO

Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home and Family Ministries is pleased to announce the hiring of Dr. David Jeffreys as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective February 16, 2026.

Dr. Jeffreys brings a wealth of experience in Christian leadership, ministry development, and organizational oversight. He has a huge heart for children and families, his commitment to biblical values, and his proven ability to lead organizations with vision, integrity, and compassion are visible in every role he has held.

Jeffreys currently serves as the vice president of Denominational & Church Relations for Louisiana Christian University. He previously the position of executive vice presidents and chief operating officer from 2022-2024 and served as acting president of the university from March 2024 through May 2025 during the presidential search.

Prior to LCU, Jeffreys served as the associate pastor at Highland Baptist Church in New Iberia.

“Dr. David Jeffreys is a steady Christ-centered leader I’ve had the privilege to serve alongside,” said LCU President Dr. Mark Johnson. “During seasons of transition and responsibility at Louisiana Christian University, he provided much-needed leadership. His love for children and families is not theoretical; it is lived out in prayerful decisions, relational leadership, and commitment to the mission of Christ. Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home and Family Ministries is receiving a leader of faith and compassion. I am confident God has prepared Dr. Jeffreys for this moment, and I rejoice in what lies ahead for him, Stephanie and this vital work.”

The Board of Trustees expresses great confidence in Dr. Jeffreys’ leadership and calling. “We are grateful to God for leading us to Dr. Jeffreys. His passion for ministry, servant-leadership, and love for people align perfectly with the mission of LBCH&FM. We believe God has prepared him for this season,” said Search Committee Chairman Bob Bozeman.

Rev. Jason Lupo (Chairman of the Trustee Board) shared his gratitude for the search committee and for Dr. Jeffreys, stating, “It is an honor to serve on the LBCH&FM Board, and I am thankful for the diligence and integrity our search committee used as they sought and called Dr. David Jeffreys to serve as President and CEO of LBCH&FM. His ministry has a history of faithfulness and strength as he has cared for Louisiana Baptists in the name of Christ. I am convinced he will work alongside our staff, churches, donors, and partners to continue to follow God’s direction for LBCH&FM.”

Current President and CEO Dr. Perry Hancock said of Dr. Jeffreys and the future of LBCH&FM, “Having known Dr. Jeffreys for many years, we joyfully celebrate his election as the new President of LBCH&FM. With great expectation, we look forward to seeing how God will bless and use his leadership in the days ahead to guide and strengthen this wonderful ministry.”

Jeffreys said he and his wife Stephanie are thankful for the Lord’s calling on their lives and look forward to this new opportunity to serve Him.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time serving at LCU and feel blessed to be able continue in Christian ministry with a new challenge and mission,” he said.
