Important Information
Once your application has been processed and you are registered for all remaining courses required to complete your degree, a Graduating Senior Hold will be placed on your account. You will be contacted through your student email should there be any discrepancies or questions arise.
Information pertaining to graduation (i.e., order and purchase of gown; time, date, and location of ceremonies; ticket availability, etc.) will be posted on the Commencement page of the LCU website, as the information becomes available. It is the student’s responsibility to regularly check the Commencement page for this information, beginning on January 1st.
Students who meet graduation requirements are expected to participate in the Commencement Ceremony. Persons with extenuating circumstances may request permission, by emailing registrar@lcuniversity.edu, to be excused from attending the Commencement Ceremony.
A student will not be awarded his/her degree if he/she owes any fees or has any hold on his/her account, including, but not limited to Business Office Holds, Financial Aid Holds (Financial Aid Exit Survey), and Library Holds. Students should check on portal or with the Registrar’s Office prior to graduation to be certain all holds have been removed and any outstanding fees have been satisfied.
December graduate diplomas will not be available until the Commencement in May. Diplomas not distributed at Commencement must be picked up from the Registrar’s Office, unless the student lives more than 50 miles from the LCU campus and submits an email request for their diploma to be mailed, along with the mailing address provided in the email.
The deadline for submission of your Application for Graduation is the last day to Add/Drop for the semester that you will be completing your degree. An additional $100 late fee will be assessed to students who submit the application more than 10 days after the stated deadline.
