Dr. Swersey earned a PhD in Industrial Engineering/Operations Research from the Univ. of California (Berkeley). He also holds a BS in Mining Engineering from Columbia University (New York) and an MS in Mining also from the Univ. of California (Berkeley).
Dr. Swersey has previously taught full-time at Wharton School, Univ. of Pennsylvania; DeVry University; and Houston Christian University. He has served as an adjunct faculty member at LeTourneau University; Belhaven University; Our Lady of the Lake University; and the University of Houston.
Dr. Swersey also managed to squeeze in a 26-year career with Exxon (pre-acquisition of Mobil) holding management positions in IT, International Marketing, Supply & Transportation, and Finance & Planning.
He worked for six years as the Controller of a not-for-profit: The Brookwood Community – a residential and vocational facility for disabled adults.
He and his wife also owned a Christian Book and Gift store.
