About:
Jeanette Commagere has always had a love for education. She began her professional teaching career at Nunez Community College in 2005, then was hired at William Carey University in 2007, where she held both faculty and administrative positions, and was very active in such areas as nursing accreditation, recruitment, curriculum development, and curriculum revision.
In 2012 Ms. Commagere to become the Director of Unitech Training Academy in Metairie, LA. While there, she developed the LPN program that was approved without recommendations after the initial submission of the self-study report and site visit.
Ms. Commagere is very excited about this opportunity to again teach undergraduate students in such a respected nursing program as the LCU Division of Nursing.
Ms. Commagere enjoys a close walk with the Lord and attempts to demonstrate Christian principles in all of her professional and personal endeavors. She enjoys spending time on Lake Pontchartrain with her husband, Brien; her three children; and nine grandchildren. Ms. Commagere loves to take cruises or travel to the Smokey Mountains. She has had a life-long love of animals, especially horses, Her menagerie now consists of two male Maine Coon cats, Deuce and FatBoy who were named after motorcycles, and two parrots, Jazzy and Sunny. The family also includes two dogs, Tomi and Sparky.
