About
Mrs. Angie Franklin graduated from Averett University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and in 2009 with her Master’s degree in Teaching from Louisiana College. In 2013, she received an additional Masters in Educational Leadership from Northwestern State University. She graduated in 2023 with a Doctorate from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she studied Educational Leadership with a focus on Montessori and school culture. Dr. Franklin recently completed her certification in Montessori School Leadership from the Center for Guided Montessori Studies in 2022.
She spent ten years teaching various grades from 1st through 6th grade in Rapides Parish at Peabody Montessori before moving out of the classroom to an Assistant Principal position at Forest Hill Jr High. Mrs. Angie Franklin became the principal of Mabel Brasher in 2017 when the transition to Montessori began. With her team of educators, Mrs. Angie Franklin is working to make a difference in the lives of the students at Mabel Brasher Montessori.
Dr. Angie Franklin and her husband, Ryan, have two children, Olivia and Neil. She loves spending time with her family, traveling, and attending church. She is committed to creating an enriched Montessori environment where faculty and students can thrive. She truly believes that, as Dr. Maria Montessori once stated, “The child is both a hope and a promise for mankind.”
