Campus Awakening March 10-12

Dr. Blake Newsom

Louisiana Christian University’s Campus Awakening will feature Dr. Blake  Newsom, senior pastor of Dauphin Way Baptist Church in Mobile, Alabama. The daily gatherings occur in Louisiana Christian University’s Guinn Auditorium at 11 a.m., March 10-12.

“Dr. Newsom’s heart for students and for God will find an effective blend as he shares God’s word with us next week,” said Louisiana Christian University President Dr. Rick Brewer. “I know that Blake has a deep passion for sharing God’s word with as many people as possible, and with the goal of calling them to salvation in Christ and equipping them to be salt and light in a decaying and dark world.”

Educated at Delta State University (BS and MEd), and with an MDiv, ThM, and PhD from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Newsom will “know well the struggles that students face while pursuing their education and the comfort and guidance offered through a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ,” Brewer added. “Please be in prayer for Dr. Newsom and the Louisiana Christian University family.”

Pastors, church groups, and members of the community are invited to attend.
