LCU hosts Awakening to kick off fall semester

Curtis Zackery will be the keynote speaker at Louisiana Christian University’s “The Awakening,” part of fall Welcome Weekend activities.

Zackery, better known as CZ, is a member of the pastoral staff of Church of the City in Nashville, one of the fastest-growing multi-campus churches in the country.  He is the author of Soul Rest: Reclaim Your Life. Return to Sabbath.

“We are excited to have CZ return to our campus to challenge the LCU family with the Truth of the Gospel,” said President Dr. Rick Brewer. “CZ has spoken at LCU several times in the past and he continues to be one of our students’ favorite speakers.”

The free event will be held at Thursday – Sunday, Aug. 14-16 at 6:30 p.m. in Guinn Auditorium and is open to all students and the community.

Masks will be required to enter, and social distancing will be enforced to ensure safety for all attendees.
