LCU Baseball and Softball teams hold separate commencement exercises

While their classmates donned graduation caps and gowns Saturday, Louisiana Christian University baseball and softball Class of 2024 graduates were wearing baseball caps and team jerseys.

The 2024 Red River Athletic Conference Championship for both baseball and softball was being played as commencement ceremonies took place.

And while not celebrating with their classmates on Saturday, the athletes are definitely celebrating now–not just for a job well done in their studies, but for a job well done on the field, as well.

The men’s baseball team finished the Red River Athletic Conference as champions! (See related story from athletics).

LCU Acting President Dr. David Jeffreys presented the diplomas, and Head Football Coach Ben McLaughlin offered words of encouragement to the graduates.

 

Softball Graduates:

  • Maintained a 3.98 through her undergraduate and 4.0 throughout her graduate work
