About Shareka Moore-Roque, LCSW-BACS
Shareka Moore-Roque is a native of Central Louisiana and brings a wealth of experience in social work to her role at Louisiana Christian University. With a diverse background that includes leadership roles as a Program Director, as well as extensive experience in direct care within inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, Shareka has cultivated a comprehensive understanding of the various facets of the field. Her background also includes private practice and military social work, where she has developed a strong skill set in clinical intervention and program management.
She earned her undergraduate degree in social work from Northwestern State University and a Master’s degree in social work from Louisiana State University. Currently, she is pursuing a Doctorate degree in Executive Leadership with a focus on Mental Health and Human Services at Houston Christian University, further enhancing her expertise.
A devoted mother of two daughters, Shareka resides in Alexandria, Louisiana, having originally grown up in Avoyelles Parish. Beyond her academic pursuits, she is passionate about community service, spending quality time with family and friends, hosting, cooking, and crafting. She is also an enthusiast of interior design, constantly seeking inspiration for creative projects.
With great excitement, Shareka looks forward to her first year of teaching at Louisiana Christian University, where she aims to inspire and educate the next generation of social work professionals.
