Dr. Tylitha Whatley

Dr. Whatley has been teaching Christian Education at Louisiana Christian University since 1997. Since 1981, she and her husband Glen have served in ministry in churches in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Dr. Whatley has a long-time association with Louisiana Christian University in that her dad, Dr. William C. Todd, taught at Louisiana Christian University from 1969 to 1996. Dr. Whatley is married to Dr. Glen Whatley, pastor of The Gathering Place West in Alexandria, LA and a 1984 LCU graduate with a B.A. in Religious Education. The Drs. Whatley met as students at Louisiana Christian University and married in 1983. They have two children, both of whom graduated from LCU: Todd, a 2012 graduate with B.A. in English; and Mattie, a 2012 graduate with a B.S.W. in Social Work. Mattie is married to Jacob Crump, a 2014 graduate with a B.A. in English. In her spare time Dr. Whatley enjoys spending time with her kids and traveling. Glen and Tylitha have a Harley Davidson Ultra Classic and have traveled to all 48 contiguous states on their motorcycle. She also loves to read, drink coffee, and play board games with family and friends.
