Dr. Kenny Holt

Dr. Holt is the founding Dean of the Ray & Dorothy Young School of Business, Technology, and Design at Louisiana Christian University.  Prior to his arrival in Pineville, Dr. Holt served as Dean at Middle Georgia State University and Houston Baptist University.

Dr. Holt is a first-generation college graduate having graduated from Union University with a degree in Business Administration.  He graduated from LSU in Baton Rouge with a master’s degree in Economics and later earned his doctorate in Management from the University of Memphis.

Dr. Holt has taught a variety of courses in business including Ethics, Economics, Finance, International Business, and Management courses.  He has taught in China and France.  Dr. Holt is widely experienced in teaching both Online and residential courses to traditional and non-traditional students.  

His teaching and leadership reflect an integration of faith based on a Christian worldview.  He believes that the Christian worldview is critical to informing our understanding of business.

Dr. Holt has published or presented over 40 articles and presentations.  He served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Leaders Credit Union; was elected to Jackson (TN) City Council; and, Nominated for Board of Directors for St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank.
